Function Room Hire Leyland
Thank you Gareth
Spent a couple of hours at the community coffee morning today, it was so nice to see so many different people from all walks of life, each with different things going on in life. To see love in so many different ways is such a blessing.
From the man giving a drink of water to the person who couldn’t hold a cup, one stranger talking to another, the hard pressed in life made to feel welcome, the parent playing with the child and seeing the child smile, the fun in the minds of the ones playing games and the smiles on their faces with the background noise of chat and laughter to the volunteers who serve the tea, coffee and biscuits that bring everyone together to do enjoy such things.
If it wasn’t for my gift to be able to see and appreciate love in so many different ways then I really don’t know where I would be right now in life.
Just those few moments when all my own pains and problems vanished from my mind, I was able to see and appreciating all those things when, for me, all the noise mysteriously vanished and I was filled with such warmth and a sense of peace.
Time in the presence of Jesus gives hope, it helps people persevere, it heals minds, it binds up the broken hearted, it changes people, it is more precious than gold and silver.
So when we know that it does everything that it says on the can…or in the book rather…why do we have to live in a world or society that condones exactly the opposite? In respect of this, My concerns are to those that have to leave that place and go away to environments and places that are lacking in the very thing that they need. So sad 😢
Thankyou Dave for taking the time and making the effort to play ping pong with me today, that also made me feel the same, your a good man. 👍:-)
The Beatitudes
From the Gospel of St Matthew 5:1-12
- Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
- Blessed are the meek: for they shall possess the land.
- Blessed are they who mourn: for they shall be comforted.
- Blessed are they that hunger and thirst after justice: for they shall have their fill.
- Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
- Blessed are the clean of heart: for they shall see God.
- Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
- Blessed are they that suffer persecution for justice’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
